Hi Bro,
Someone that I know is testing Choon Kong Construction right now.. It is a very small 1 man show company.. I suggest don't publish this contacts yet for the benefit of the forumers else it seemed it is an endorsed contractor (for someone yet to be proven)
I don't think they have the standard that most Singaporeans expect to see..
I will certainly seek feedback from my friend and write on this blog later.

Hi Testing,
Thanks for ur feedback. Some forummers had engaged his service before and that's why his name is on the list. His standard may have changed. Anyway to play safe, we had amended his profile. And we look forward to your friend's feedback. We also welcome anyone who had encountered any good and reliable contractors to pen his contact here. :)
Once again, thanks and have a great day!

Guys

In case u need to polish or respray yr car due to scratches, please look for Ah Poo (aka ah bao)

His shop is located @ No. 11, Jalan Indah 16/11, Taman Bukit Indah 81200 Johor Bahru.
HP: 017 747 2940 , shop open from 10am onwards.

Quite near to Satu Malaysia workshop . When u drive along station 1 on yr right , u can turn left to the lane....
I done mine on Tuesday , reprayed 2 bumpers and left door and mud guard area and repair the dent on e door , its only RM650.
And the white col is almost e same as my current one , so I am a happy gal now...
But have to drive extremely careful coz new bumpers dun wan to scratch again ... crossed fingers.

For me, I downloaded TRAFFICAM SG from the Appstore onto my iphone and ipad. I must check out the cam photos of the Tuas and Woodlands checkpoints before I make my trip to JB.....I think I am getting paranoid

NEED TO MOVE TO JB

Postby Odyssey » Fri Jan 13, 2012 10:17 am

Here are some contacts, which we have gathered from forums, for you if you are planning to move your stuff to JB...
Please note that this list is not an endorsement of the vendor's service and work. Hence, due diligence is required and the usual disclaimer applies.

1. http://chlhousemovers.com/eng.html

This SG local mover is quoting SGD500+ for 10 feet lorry and about SGD700+ for 14 feet lorry. They come with 4 men to help you move to Horizon Hills.

2. http://tongcarriage.com/index.html
Have offices in SG, JB, KL and Penang.

3. Tag Team movers, Patrick +65 9329 7171.
He does cross border moves in partnership with a MY agent. Able to discuss type of move; Reasonable pricing, including customs tax; Definitely not like KCDat but still quite professional in the sense that they do proper documentation and somewhat flexible too within reasonable limits. Nice guy.

4. Shun Hin in Kulai
Procedure is straight forward with no “kopi money” required. One 14-footer at less than SGD400. Email Agnes at shunhin881@yahoo.com.my. She is very helpful.

5. Tiong Lim Movers
10-footer lorry for SGD600; Need 3 weeks advance notice; Tel 64551368.

6. EZ Mover

14 feet covered lorry with all the necessary permit and levy for only SGD600; can call: +6012 7773466. Ask for Zamry.

Please feel free to add on if you encountered any other cheap and good movers during your move :)

A lot of people at my precinct used CHL with positive review. I used Tong carriage instead as CHL was busy and they were good too and in my case I only shifted in a table I ordered from SG. I have a contact which is M'sian heading into SG cheaper definitely but must converse in melayu and guaranteed additional 'souvenir marks' to furniture = not as careful. Actually any MY origin movers can do cheaper.
