I did the same and found that the preferred rates quoted (minimum amount to TT >=SDG20k) better than remittance companies. Moreover, TT/cable/commission charges waived. However, there is a RM5 charged by FX agent at MY side.

If you open a CIMB Preferred Current Account in MY and parked $$ there, can enjoy interest rate of 1.8%pa (20001 to 100k) and 2.25%pa (>100k).

Yes. There is limited supply of RM becoz of the exchange rate and also becoz of Hari Raya, the Malaysian themselves keep their cash for Ang baos. That's make the supply of RM worst.I forgot. So, the money changers bakat to quote lower cash rate.

Even UOB main branch have no stock. only Money changing counter inside airport terminal have some. Arcade is jam pack with people.

looks like need to tt to my account n withdraw from JB.

Does me mean I can remit money from my Maybank here to my Maybank account in Malaysia? Better rates than moneychanger?

For CIMB, you entitled to Preferred Customer if loan above RM1 million. Then, extend Preferred status in SG. For Preferred Customer to TT from SG to MY, rate quoted would be preferential rate for minimum SGD20k. Can TT more than RM10k. Cable charge of $30 waived. TT charges of 0.125 percent waived. I can confirm that the preferential rate is better than remittance company. TT as and when rate is good, like about now. Write cheque (in RM) to developer or lawyer when due. For CIMB Preferred Current Account in MY, interest rate is 2.5% per annum for >RM100K

I believe Maybank, RHB have similar arrangement for their preferred customers. You need to check.

For maybank.. prefered customer is min 500k cash not 200k as in other bank.
And only by invitation.
Now got promo.. free philip steamer worth 229 for 50k deposit for 6 mths.
Airfryer 200k and above for 6 mths.
Dun go for the saving plan with air purifer.. its insurance tied.15 yrs

2nd tt is more expensive over the counter 100 and some min charge.

3rd best to do via internet banking 15 dollar only plus some min charge.

4th each time is 20k sing which is ard 50k rm.

5th if u tt to developer.. u can tt whole lump sum no limit to developer via money changer
It only at a lower rate.. n whether u dare or not.i suggest u break up 100k each time.

6th if u r a sinkie like most of us.. thru raffles is 10 bucks per 9999 once a week.
So I ask can tt thru different coy... my usual tt friend smile .... I guess no problem so I am going to try soon.
