Postby babylaw » Mon Jan 12, 2015 4:17 pm

i've read an article which said Base Rate (BR) will be replacing BLR. i've asked some friend but not all of them knew about this... maybe it's still new so not much people know about it..
i've planned to buy new house maybe next year but im not sure is BR will be a good choice.. :?

this BR is a new framework and previously known as KLIBOR..either is good or bad u still have to follow the BR as BLR is no longer available

Base Rate was introduced this year. So far there isn't much information about the Base Rate that we can search through online. Base Rate has ady started and it is applicable for anyone that apply for house mortgage loan since 2 Jan 2015. I believe there won't be any changes for this housing loan so everyone shall just start to adapt and understand more about it. Here is smth that I manage to search online. Hope that it helps for better understanding. https://www.hlb.com.my/main/info-centre ... -base-rate

Hey guys,

Somehow I still feel insecure with this new BR framework, there is only limited information on this framework currently. This BR framework should not be implemented this year as GST is also being implementing soon. As a working citizen, this makes me worrying a lot.
